Hey guys,

just to be sure, i just found out that the hit cap for rouges has been raised as of patch 2.3 (yes that was a while ago)

so i was merrily hitting around with a hit of 313 but now i have to get it up to 363 for the cap. Fortunatley my new fist weapons should get me pretty close.

i noticed when i was checking my char on the char auditor that sem has posted in general. realy helpfull so check it out ;)

Hey guys,

this is not to brag or anything but i think the main focus for you guys when gearing up should be Hit rating. im up to 348 now and the first boss run i did went realy nice. I checked my recount and there were no misses at all. there were some parry and blocks so im working on getting expertise next. Just got the shard of contempt and that should at a little as well. so no matter if you do lose some AP or crit, its worth stacking the hitrating and try to get as close to the 363 cap as possible.

I don't know how rogues work, and I'd never claim to know more than you about them.
But what i do know are Fury Warriors, and how similiar to rogues they are.
And once a warrior gets to around 200 Hit Rating taking hit over strength/AP/Crit is losing dps.
I know rogues are different, but do you really still get the most dps increase from gemming for hit all the way up to the cap. I'm sure some1 somewhere has done some maths for it, thats how i know about warriors, some1 with too much time on there hands working this out.

Elitistjerks is great, you can find alot of info and spreadsheets to back it up.
But if you get blocks or parries you know what that means - dont need expertise, just get your ass behind that boss!

well i checked out elitist as well and some other forums. There is some discussion on the hitcap and how good it realy is to get there. i have checked a number of rogues (the higher raiding ones) and havent seen any of them with the full 363 yet. most hover around 320. So i decided i wouldnt need that much either. That was until i got to 348 and noticed the increase in overal damage.. so imo it does pay to get it up at least above 300 and close to 320.

About the expertise Mike, you are right but with the shard of contempt i got up to 21... seems a nice number and maybe it will prevent some bosses to dodge when im behind them as well ;) so im not even gonne try to get up to 109 here but it should help a bit at least.
